China vs America: Friend or Foe

Is the world polarising towards a new cold war between the US and China? What are your views on this issue? To answer this question we have to look at the history of China-America relations. It must be borne in mind that since the dawn of the 20th century America has always wanted to be a friend of China. They earlier supported the Nationalists under Chiang Kai Shek but when they realized the bread was buttered on the side of Mao-Tse Tung they changed gears, dumped Chiang, and made overtures to the government headed by Mao. America always had a deep desire to engage with China mainly because of the massive economy and market in China which they estimated would be a great benefit to them. In my view America always wanted to be a partner of China and there is no question of a cold war between them. The Americans confronted the Soviet Union and later Russia was created as an enemy for the simple reason that as far as economics is concerned Russia was a big zero compared to America which had nothing to gain from this country. That there was the Cold War and now an active proxy military engagement like in Ukraine. America will never do such a thing as far as China is concerned and it is my view that in due course of time they are going to hand over Taiwan to China to show their good intentions. The aim is to placate China and try and partner with it for world domination. Unfortunately for the Americans, China does not want to play ball and is intent on restoring its status as the number one nation in the world as it was during the Middle Ages. Economically China is a powerhouse and America is almost dependent on it; the American dream to dominate the world with China is going to sink into the Pacific Ocean. There appears to be no other option for the Americans, who do not wish to have a military engagement with China because of its massive manpower and in due course will have to cede space to China as the dominant global power. The days of American hegemony over the globe are coming to an end as America will implode from the inside.
